FREE HOSPICE VOLUNTEER TRAINING PROGRAM
- Tuesdays, 5 week Sessions (2-4pm and/or 4-6pm)
Next Session 1/5/2021-2/4/2021
This free program prepares you to help families who are caring for a loved one in their final stages of life. Most volunteers help 2-4 hours per month. Our hospice volunteers help in many ways including reading to clients, light housekeeping, walking the dog, or just relieving family caregivers to take a much needed break.
Other volunteers with Pemi-Baker Community Health sing and play instruments or visit with their therapy dogs. We notice a subtle shift in ourselves when we volunteer. We feel more connected to others, and we become less absorbed in the normal stresses of daily life. We share our experiences with others and want to help more. We volunteer because it makes a difference. Won’t you join us?
