
Chandra, a positive energy person, brings a unique blend of clinical and leadership expertise to her role as the Executive Director for Pemi-Baker Community Health. She strives to create a “culture of excellence” in the work place where staff are engaged, enjoying the work they do, and treating others as they would want to be treated. Chandra earned a B.S. in Nursing at Northeastern University in Boston, MA and her MBA from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics. Currently Chandra serves on the Home Care Association of NH and the Central New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce Boards, Central NH Health Partnership, Rural Healthcare Association, Plymouth State University Nursing Honor Society and Nursing Advisory Board, and the Central Service Health Network. She is a member of the NH Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association and has been active in the Emergency Nurses Association, and White Mt Chapter of Critical Care Nurses. Chandra participates in emergency preparedness efforts and public health initiatives in New Hampshire. Chandra’s inspiration is rooted in being part of establishing and sustaining a pro-active work culture in which there is respect of each person as an individual. One of her goals is to keep healthcare local and to collaborate with others to make positive improvements. In her own words, “It is energizing to be part of an organization that offers programs and health care covering prevention to treatment and support from infancy through to the last stage of life.” Born in Massachusetts, she spent seven years of her early life in Kenya, Africa. Chandra was home schooled by her mother until fourth grade when she attended a local missionary school and then moved on to boarding school in Nairobi for grade six. Without the presence of television, she spent much time out of doors with her siblings enjoying the creativity of outside play that Africa offered and developed a love of books and making doll clothes. A mother of two boys, she enjoys hiking, quilting, and is an avid reader. Chandra’s professional expertise includes: Nursing in Medical Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Recovery Room, Home care and Hospice. Profit and nonprofit administrative background includes management of home care and hospice, Vice President of Diagnostic Services at LRGHealthcare and ICU/ED Manager at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH.
