Kathryn “Kathy” McLaughlin, Physical Therapist (PT) got into PT by being an active in swimming and weight lifting in high school. She is told by her clients and friends that she is a kind and helpful individual. She tries to meet clients where they are at and help them achieve their goals. Kathy obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Claremont, NH and during her internships realized she needed to achieve her PT degree. Her first job as a PTA was at Concord Orthopedics Center for Sports Medicine. She then went on to obtain her BS in PT from Russell Sage College. She was fortunate to do internships at Concord Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Ranchos Los Amigos and Colorado Sport and Spine Clinic which enabled her to travel across the USA. After completing her BS in PT she worked for a traveling company in the Midwest as a traveling manager and then was the Rehab Director at a hospital in Western Nebraska where she also learned to rope, ride and obtained her MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln “go Cornhuskers!” During her MBA training she did Doctorate studies in advanced human performance and cumulative trauma as well as studied in Italy for a semester. She then was in private practice for 8 years where she focused on manual therapy prior to returning “home” to New Hampshire. Kathy has varied experience in all areas of PT but most recently has been working in orthopedic acute and outpatient care. Kathy’s ecstatic to be back in NH and to be joining PBCH home health. She loves NH, her dogs, friends and family as well as being in nature.
